In full: Dear Sir Let me introduce Miss Austin - whose father another, judge Austin, to the natives of Georgia, were shot in one day in 1879, in Louisiana - for being Republicans I know you will agree with me that if any persons deserve the favorable consideration of their government, surely their family does.
He was also a delegate to the World Anti-Slavery Convention in London in 1840. Phillips later advocated prohibition, penal reforms, woman suffrage, regulation of corporations and organization of the working class. Light show through of ink on verso. Fold creases not near signature.
