In 1897, upon the death of George Pullman, Lincoln, who had moved to Chicago in May 1865, the month after his father's assassination, became acting President of Pullman's company. Lincoln was present at three presidential assassinations (those of his father, and of Garfield and McKinley). He made his last public appearance on May 30, 1922 at the dedication of the Lincoln Memorial and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.Folds, horizontal fold just touches the upper loop of the "R" in Robert. First page is lightly soiled, light stain at lower right margin touches 1 word of writing. Nicked at lower margin at mid-vertical fold, pinhead-size hole at cross folds.
