In full: Tell Harriet she can just shut up (her piano) until after the election as far as political people are concerned. Since music will drown all other for the next fortnight. It would be great fun for me; but I shall be out of reach. Many thanks for the invitation. Stamped and addressed on verso by Shaw to Miss Rose Cohen.Shaw began writing plays in 1892. His first, Widowers' Houses, voiced his opinions on society and world reform. Throughout his 58 years as a playwright, Shaw, who received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925, covered many topics, letting his humor speak for itself. His other major works include You Never Can Tell (1895), Man and Superman (1902), Major Barbara (1905), The Doctor's Dilemma (1906) and Saint Joan (1923).
