Elizabeth Dudley, Countess of Lowenstein, autographed letter to Ferdinando Fairfax. It's not often you come across a letter discussed extensively in Wikipedia. However in 1637 and 1641, she wrote letters to Ferdinando Fairfax, 2nd Lord Fairfax of Cameron about his son Charles Fairfax, and addressed Fairfax as "father" and affectionately signed herself daughter. This is not one of the two letters mentioned, but it opens with "My Lord and most honored father, " and continues with affectionate praise for Fairfax. Someone has written a date of 1642 on the reverse, but Dudley has only dated the letter as the 14 March. Dudley was Maid of Honour and lady in waiting to Elizabeth Stuart, who was Queen of Bohemia and grandmother of George I. Fair to Good condition - fragile at the folds, but complete with no chipping.
