Civil War Autograph Letter, Signed. Dated City Point, Virginia, Oct. 16, 1864, from William L. Faxon, a Union surgeon, to Colonel Francis J.

Lots of gossip about fellow officers four are named, Col. Charles Kane Cobb, some unflatteringly, The Brains have gone since'62. The soldiers are against McClellan for President, the officers are for him. Ending The sunshine is glorious and no firing on the picket lines of any account, rebs and yanks making friendships. The fighting will be over in a year - and the South whipped. Four pages each 4 3/4 x 7 1/2 inches, in Fine condition.
