In French, translated in full: Is it intentional, that on p. 4, 2nd line, last bar, the fa [musical notes penned here] is not flat as it was the 1st time? (I don't think so, but after all one can't tell) is it intentional that on page 5, 5th line 1st bar, the do [staff and a note] for the little finger of the left hand is not joined by a tie to that of the next bar, like the other notes that elegantly adorn the staff? All this is the same poisoned fragrance I like, the same chord marked unknown before you came along.

Well, I'll try to make it known as much as I can! The Violin is not too difficult, I can manage it. But as for the melodies, I'm afraid I can't sing anymore! Possibly the last three pages of a longer letter, but complete in itself. His most famous works include the symphonic poem Danse Macabre (1873) and the comic symphony Carnival of the Animals (1886).
